Just take the test!

All Apple exams are taken online at the end of your course. They are administered by Prometric. The rules state that you may only take an Apple test at an Apple Authorised Training Centre.

It's possible to just buy the book, read it at home and and come in and sit the exam.

The charge for the exam only is £117.50, the books are available from Amazon or directly from us - we can offer great discounts on the courseware if you book the exam at the same time.

Unfortunately, if you fail the test (the pass mark for Logic and FCP is 80%) you are required to wait one week before attempting again; furthermore, you get charged again for every attempt as we buy the exams directly from Prometric - this stuff is out of our control, sorry!

Obviously you can't take the level 2 exam until you have passed level 1.

It used to be the case that you could read the 101 books and take a test but in order to sit the level 2 exams you were required to complete the course in class - this has now been changed. You can read the advanced books at home and take the test - after having passed level 1 of course.
